About

My Story

I love everything related to Digital.

And when I say everything, I really mean everything – Strategy, Tech, Cybersecurity, User Experience, Marketing, Psychology and Creative.

My journey started way back when I was still in school in 2006. Following that, I’ve worked as a Developer, a Designer and finally, settled into the project management role. My past work experience and designation has enabled me to conversate in jargons/languages that could only be understood and applied by those familiar with the various functioning teams in Digital industry.

Over the years, I have learnt from many — some from ex-bosses and the rest, from ex-colleagues, friends and movies that triggered a reaction within me. The list below is the collective that I hold dear and true,
no matter where I go.

My Practice

  • Google it
  • Assume nothing
  • The User comes first
  • The Client is NOT your checker
  • Ask who, what, where, when, why and how
  • If it is clickable, it has to be tracked
  • Less is more
  • Form follows function
  • Test early, test frequently
  • Document everything for efficiency and sanity

My Beliefs and Principles

  1. Be the mentor you wish you had.

  2. What gets rewarded gets done. If you praise and honor the people who epitomize the values of the team, those values get embraced and upheld by the other members of the team. There’s no better enforcement.

  3. What you don’t do will come back to bite you.

  4. A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus, but a molder of consensus.

  5. Meetings and briefs should at least be interesting as movies.

  6. Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change. So, don’t get too comfortable.

  7. If you say I can see further, it is because I’ve been standing on the shoulders of giants.

  8. You must see someone’s strength as a complement to your weakness and not as a threat.

  9. Don’t kill your own people.

  10. I can answer stupid questions but I cannot fix stupidity.

  11. Don’t be lazy but if you are going to be lazy, at least be smart about it.

  12. If you’re not making someone else’s life better, then you’re wasting your time. Your life will become better when you make other lives better.

  13. Other than death, all defeats are psychological.

  14. You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

  15. The world doesn’t make sense until you force it to.

  16. Sometimes the truth isn’t good enough, sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded.

  17. It doesn’t matter how long or how much effort you put in. What matters is the value/good it brings.

My Commitment

  • Constant Learning — I shall be committed to myself to always be in a state of constant learning and expand/strengthen my knowledge in Digital by un-learning and re-learning. Pride and ego has no place here.
  • Mentorship — I shall inspire and build the future generation of leaders through modeling and support them to the very best of my abilities.
  • World Hunger — For every food wastage I have accumulated, I shall donate to charity based on the amount wasted.
  • Solving Problems by Providing Value — I shall do my best to provide value to my clients in every aspect of my work through listening, understanding and empathy — despite any impatience I have.
